MY VISION OF NIAGARA
• We must ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely on important infrastructure projects including the quality of our roads and sidewalks for our local residents and to attract new business investors.
• As our community grows, we need to ensure our critical investments in key infrastructure keep pace. The development of our new Hospital and the planned Wastewater Treatment Facility will be of tremendous benefit to our community and will support its future growth.
• If the pandemic has taught us anything; it is that community based mental health, addiction, homeless supports and services are needed more than ever. As a caring community, we need to find ways to provide additional services to alleviate the pain those less fortunate than ourselves face, each and every day.
• As our population continues to grow, we need to build thousands of new homes in Niagara, but in doing so we must always consider factors such as our precious environment, natural features, wildlife, and feedback from the residents.
• Residents are facing an affordability crisis. The City needs to help in whichever way it can, by working with all levels of Government to advocate for additional support to make the challenges residents are facing a bit easier.
• Niagara Falls is the number one leisure tourism destination in all of Canada! As a world-renowned tourism destination, we need to leverage and build upon the over 13 million visitors who come to our community each year. Our tourism sector employs over 40,000 of our neighbors. We need to work with our tourism partners in a responsible and balanced way, in order to maintain and expand tourism.
• My vision of Niagara Falls is to have a City Hall that is welcoming, open and accessible to all of our residents, where people feel encouraged to call and meet with their elected officials! I WILL BE AVAILABLE.
